Leveraging Omics Data to Study Sex Differences in Alzheimer's Disease
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Project Description
The goal of this project is to use a multi-omics integrative approach leveraging publicly available human genomics and transcriptomics as well as single nucleus RNA sequencing technology applied to animal models to elucidate sex-specific and apoE genotype-specific molecular pathways involved in Alzheimer's Disease with a focus towards neuroinflammation. The outcomes of the proposed studies will shed light on the pathogenesis of AD and potentially identify existing drugs for treating or preventing AD.
